If you’re attending Sage Summit for the first time, there can be a lot of items you simply forget to bring. A lot of trade show veterans had to learn the hard way for the do’s and don’ts of attending. Trade shows can add up to some long days and if you don’t have everything on hand, it can seem even longer. Here are some essential items you can’t show up to Sage Summit without.
- Comfortable shoes
Sage Summit is in a huge venue and there will be a ton of vendors there. There will be a lot of walking and you will be on your feet most of the day. It is crucial that you are wearing comfortable shoes that you can stand to be in for 8 hours. Your feet will thank you later.
- Portable chargers
Whether this is for your cell phone, your laptop or your tablet, make sure you bring a portal charger to juice up mid-day. There are usually charging stands, but these will be swamped with people. You can avoid these clogged up areas by simply bringing your own.
Although a lot of vendors now accept credit card, it is always helpful to have some cash on you. Whether the item you want doesn’t accept credit cards or has a minimum, cash will come in handy. Make sure you have a few bucks on you in case you want to grab a bite to eat or run into an emergency.
- A way to take notes
You will run into a lot of new people, speak to a lot of vendors and learn a lot at the over 300 available sessions. Once you get back from Sage Summit, it will be almost impossible to remember everything you learned and everyone you spoke to. Make sure you have a way to take notes, whether it is with a good old pen and paper or on a tablet.
- Business Cards
When you are meeting all these different vendors and people, you will want a way for them to remember you. Avoid having to continually write your name and information down for people by bringing a lot of business cards.
- Personal Items
This can range from mints and gum to hand sanitizer and ibuprofen. These emergency items will come in handy when a headache appears from the long day or if you need to freshen up after having lunch. If you don’t want to bring all these items, you can pop by booth #101 and grab a survival kit from Anytime Collect.
